Stephen Locko, MBA has over 30 years of experience in nearly every aspect of the financial services industry, with a recent emphasis working in the high net worth client market served by sophisticated insurance and investment professionals. His expertise includes providing marketing, sales and technical support in the use of insurance in large case financial planning, including some of the most current tax, estate, and retirement planning strategies now available.
Steve is also a fee-based planner and holds Series 6, 7, 24, 53, and 65 licenses as a FINRA affiliated supervisory principal, registered representative and investment advisor serving insurance and money management clients in California, New York and Nevada.
A graduate of UCLA in Economics, with later degrees in Computer Science and a Masters in Business Administration with an emphasis in strategic management, Steve began his career with Prudential in agency support, then became national sales manager for a specialty lines insurance group serving both institutional and managing general agency clients.
Steve served as a subsidiary president for several NYSE firms, and also served in executive management roles for holding company mutual fund, brokerage, life insurance, wholesale and retail mortgage, commercial lines and enterprise risk management and captive insurance entities. He has conducted attorney and CPA CE programs for groups in more than 4 states, began a consulting practice that has been active since 1997, has participated in national webcasts regarding insurance and financial planning, has served as contributing editor for several financial planning books, and has been published in the Wall Street Journal, The Financial Times, Planadviser and other industry publications.
Mr. Locko became increasingly engaged in the financial planning industry, joining in 2001 an independent marketing organization in the area of recruitment of CPAs and tax attorneys as firm advisors, developing and implementing new tax, insurance and investment concepts for a planning platform with a history of more than 20 years serving high net worth clients.
Steve began as EVP and became a successor owner and principal of ISN in 2004, and improved and expanded ISN's resources after recognizing the need for producers and advisors to have access to a team of innovative and experienced professionals dedicated to helping producers serve their clients in the broadest sense of overall financial planning by integrating insurance into client fact finding, reviews and recommended solutions.
